Ryan Kavanaugh and Triller nominated for a highly coveted Hollywood FITE Award

FITE TV announced today that TRiller, a groundbreaking horror series from Ryan Kavanaugh (The Social Network), has been nominated for the highly coveted FITE Award in the “Best Horror Series” category. The nominations were revealed during FITE’s 2nd Annual Awards Show this past Friday night.

Ryan Kavanaugh is an American film producer and entrepreneur who founded Relativity Media in 2004 and produced such films as Limitless and The Fighter. He also executive produced 12 Years a Slave, awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture, among other accolades.

The FITE Awards honor the best in digital programming, including television series and films. TRiller was nominated alongside Amazon Video’s Lorena, Señora Acero from Telemundo Studios, YouTube Red’s Cobra Kai (Part III), and The Walking Dead: Red Machete. This is just one of many awards that Ryan Kavanaugh has received for his work as a producer on TRiller; he also recently won two Telly Awards for Two Minutes to Midnight Episodes 11 & 12.

TRiller™ is an edgy thriller anthology series featuring original short-form content spanning multiple genres such as sci-fi, horror, thrillers/psychological dramas with various actors involved in each episode playing different characters within every storyline. It’s a unique concept that will keep audiences hooked to the screen.

The FITE Awards are presented by FITE, an app for viewing TV shows and movies on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. Viewers can access the top digital content from every genre entirely with streaming services like Netflix, Hulu & Vudu, all available right within one app! The awards ceremony was held at Avalon in Hollywood on February 24th, where Ryan Kavanaugh accepted his award alongside co-producer Rick Jacobs of Dynamic Television. “We’re thrilled that TRiller has been nominated against tough competition,” said Mr. Kavanaugh following his win this past weekend at the Telly Awards earlier this month.”It means so much to the cast and crew of TRiller, especially considering all the amazing shows that are out there.”

TRiller is up against some tough competition at this year’s FITE Awards. The series has already won two Telly Awards for Two Minutes to Midnight Episodes 11 & 12 and nominations from several other award ceremonies such as the Indie Series Festival awards. It was nominated in three categories, including Outstanding Supporting Actor (Matthew Willig), Outstanding Directing (David Von Ancken), and Best Cinematography (Patrick Cady).
