Mark Hauser and his partner Paul Swanson founded Hauser Private Equity in Cincinnati, Ohio. They operate offices in Los Angeles, California and Chicago, Illinois. They formed the private equity firm to work specifically with lower middle to middle markets. Their strategy was to form partnerships using buy out control funds and working with managers of growth equity.
By leveraging the expertise of their limited time partners, Mark Hauser is able to create multiple opportunities to grow the fund. Having gathered great force within the field of ophthalmology, they are able to acquire additional eye care related businesses to grow their corporate investment within the city of Cincinnati. A number of years ago, in 2018 Hauser Private Equity joined with its partner Revelstroke Capital Partners, based in Denver, to invest in the Cincinnati Eye Institute and formed CEI Vision Partners. CEI would manage and grow the Institute’s business. This enabled CEI to follow up on other partnerships with leading ophthalmology providers. With additional acquisitions CEI Vision Partners (CVP) grew to more than 150 doctors.
In October, 2021 Mark Hauser and his partner Revelstroke’s investment proved successful when his CVP Company was acquired by EyeCare Partners (ECP). EyeCare Partners is this nation’s leading clinically integrated network of providers of optometry and ophthalmology related services. This combined organization now has a group of more than 280 ophthalmologists and over 700 optometrists. These providers are supported by 5,000 clinical staff members and a staff of 1,200 support services. These professionals work in 18 states across the country.
