Tom Keane is a global technology executive and serial entrepreneur. He is the author of the book “Big Bang Disruption: Strategy in the Age of Devastating Innovation”, where he identifies four sigmoid curves that govern long-term cycles for emerging breakthrough technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence and genomics.
Tom wrote this book to help business stakeholders embrace disruptive innovations and disruption itself. He is the founder of Tom Keane Co, a consulting firm that helps companies and organizations cope with disruptive technologies. In his book “Big Bang Disruption”, Tom provides a framework for predicting when disruptive technologies will arrive.
Also, how best to work with them, as Tom Keane adds. This framework covers such areas as financial services, manufacturing, health care, energy and national security. Tom graduated from Brown University in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Cognitive Science and went on to receive an MA in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from MIT.
Here, Tom Keane focused on artificial intelligence, robotics and systems. Since 1996, the software developer has been CEO of three different companies: Software Designers, Inc., EDACafe Corp. and E-Readiness Group. He has also served as an officer for two other companies: BlueShift Software, Inc. and InSight Software.
In 1998, Tom founded Software Designers, Inc., a company dedicated to creating tools and processes for software development. The company’s flagship product was his original invention, a web-based project management tool called “PageHabit”. PageHabit used six unique technology patents awarded to the software developer and engineer Tom Keane. The successful PageHabit was sold on January 9, 2011 to BEA Systems.
